8 life-changing Equations for Personal Empowerment

I am a trained mathematician, I love reading complex literature and learning about complex theories. Nonetheless, something about simplified phrases and simple equations keeps me grounded and more in touch with reality. Although the last is in itself a complex word…

A month ago I decided to write about personal growth and self-awareness. I firmly believe that as human beings gifted with the power of thought, we owe to ourselves and to the world to live a meaningful life based on self-discovery, exploration, and movement.

I also believe that one image can say a lot more than a 500-page book. I guess that’s why art will never die. Art has the ability to trigger our consciousness and subconsciousness. For this reason, I decided to merge mathematics with personal growth and a little bit of art.

This is my first article of me doing so:

Little Note: all pictures are created by the author (Amy Khaldoun).

1. People say that happiness is when reality meets expectations but through the art of letting go.

2. People say that success is random and happens only if you’re lucky but it’s a simple equation that includes consistency.

3. People say that fulfillment can be achieved solely through external achievements or milestones but they forget about others.

4. People say that growth is supposed to be a linear process. Yet, it fluctuates like crypto and it only depends on the changes you go through.

5. People say that being resilient means not experiencing any emotional distress or difficulty in the face of adversity. Yet, resilience is all about the capacity to recover and bounce back from challenges along with a social circle that supports you.

6. People say that achieving certain external goals, such as owning a luxurious home, having a high-paying job, or accumulating wealth will make them satisfied. Yet, gratitude and meaningful relationships make all the difference in the world.

7. People say that we need to allocate the same number of hours and energy to our professional responsibilities and personal activities. Yet, true balance is about finding a harmony that works for your unique circumstances and needs. It’s about prioritizing and making time for what’s most important to you.

8. People say that purpose is the singular fixed thing that needs to be discovered. Yet, purpose is often something that is developed and cultivated over time, rather than being a fixed point or a pre-determined destiny. It can evolve and change throughout a person’s life.
